About Us

EYE CANDY FAMILY, LLC

Have you ever wondered how people end up in their career?  Some people have a plan - they go to college and find a job in their major and retire from that job.  Others may get a job in any field out of college and continue on that path till something “better” comes along.  A lucky few find their dream job by chance.

The Eye Candy Family, LLC, was one of the lucky few. It was born out of determination, years of experience, and an unbreakable family bond.   Founders and owners are sisters, Tania and Abeer Srouji, whose passion for jewelry and handbags inspired them to start their own jewelry, handbag and accessories company in 2008.

Eye Candy Accessories Came First
Tania and Abeer went to a jewelry party together. While at the party, they overheard a guest comment that the jewelry was so expensive, she couldn’t imagine spending so much on just one piece.  Tania and Abeer immediately recognized a market need – that every woman should be able to afford beautiful, unique jewelry without breaking the bank.  The sisters got to work creating a company that personifies fun, fabulous, and affordable accessories, and within weeks Eye Candy Accessories was born.

How Eye Candy Grew
After 4 successful years, Eye Candy launched 2 more divisions to the Eye Candy Family in 2012, including Couture by Eye Candy and Events by Eye Candy.

Couture by Eye Candy was started when Abeer got engaged and began planning her dream wedding.  Though she loved fresh flowers, she could not believe the cost of something that would only last a week or two. Abeer., who has an eye for sparkle,  created her very first bridal brooch bouquet for herself and continued with creations for her bridesmaids.  In addition, as an owner of Eye Candy Accessories, she was shocked at mark-up charges she found when shopping for her own bridal jewelry. Certain that they could find quality bridal jewelry at affordable prices, Tania and Abeer put their heads together and came up with the Bridal Jewelry and Brooch Bouquet division, Couture by Eye Candy.

Events by Eye Candy was a natural progression for the sisters, who finally put a name to their lifestyle.  Both Tania and Abeer have a strong background in Event planning – including 2 consecutive Man/Woman of the Year Campaigns for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, numerous non-profit fundraisers, corporate events, weddings, block parties, and the list goes on.  You could say that Events by Eye Candy was born almost 20 years ago when Abeer/Tania planned a unique and memorable mardi gras party for friends and family, but the sisters made it official in 2012.

About the Owners

Abeer has a much different background.  She followed in her father’s footsteps and entered the world of banking where she progressively moved up in her career for 17 years.  During her time in the banking world, Abeer gained experience in leadership and finance, which, combined with her natural selling ability makes her a driving force at Eye Candy.  Abeer dedicates much of her time to non-profit work, including the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, who named her Woman of the Year in 2011.

Prior to launching Eye Candy with her sister, Tania worked in marketing, advertising and engineering, which has played an integral part of Eye Candy’s innovative and creative approach to business.  An Army Veteran, Tania has gained is active in networking and has held various offices with non-profit and networking groups.
